I don't know what good and bad value is for a handyman, so I will list what I had done and the price for others to determine value for themselves. As far as the work, it was done very well, and I am very happy with the results. Work: installed above-range microwave, installed dishwasher, installed new frig water line, and in the basement around a utility sink they cut out a section of old pipes with broken shut offs and faucets and installed new shutoffs and faucets for my hot and cold water for the washer and hooked the new washer lines to the new plumbing, and also fixed a leak at the U-bend underneath that sink. They purchased the plumbing parts for the basement and some additional parts for the dishwasher hook-up. I purchased the frig water line and a dishwasher install kit. For their labor and those parts my cost was $750. I am hiring this person to do additional work for me.

I submitted my project for installation of vinyl shutters on a brick wall. The job is pretty straight forward but needs to be done carefully so the shutters look straight. Vic responded to my project and said he was nearby - could he come over to give me a free estimate. He was over several hours later - right when he said he would be here. He scoped out the job and gave me a very reasonable quote. I accepted and he planned to be back the following week in the morning. He arrived on the correct day earlier than I expected and I heard him outside already working. He came prepared with the proper special drill bit he needed to do the job and got right at it. He did the job straight through in about 90 minutes. Job was done well. He cleaned up any trash. Shutters are on straight and secure. This was a good experience and I would use Vic again for another project.

I needed to replace most of the baseboard trim and door casings in a house I recently purchased. Vic was very responsive and even came out the same day to walk the job and provide me a quote. He spent time walking through the house with me, asking questions to understand the project and made sure we were both on the same page with the scope of the project. Vic provided a quote that day and we scheduled the project to begin a few days later. Vic was very responsive as I had a few questions between our first meeting and the start of the project.
