Jason just didn't finish the job. I was rehabbing a small shed in the back yard. I tore everything off and put down new flooring, and hired Jason to put up the LP SmartSide panels. He worked most of the first day, then said he would need to leave for his son's ball game but would be back the next day. After several weeks, I contacted him and asked if he was going to finish the job - specifically with building and putting on the doors. He said, "Well, this is my busy time, but I can probably get out there tomorrow or the next day." He was working nearby. No Jason. So I called him the following week and he said. "I can probably come out and help you tomorrow..." Like he was doing me a favor. I finished the job myself. I think what happened was, he got some bigger jobs, and decided they were more important than finishing up my small job. I was hoping he'd at least offer to refund a portion of the work. That's on me. NEVER pay in full before the work is done! So, especially if it's a small job, don't pay Jason until the job is completed.
