What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not really. Each deck/ porch configuration is unique to the customers preferences and site circumstances. Therefore I do free itemized quotes and assist in the design process.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with the customer at the prospective job to assess layout and design; taking into consideration size, type of materials, type of soil (determines type of footing/foundation) and budget goals for project. Also can help assess the conditions at the site and let you know up front what will or will not work in your situation. Then I will present you with drawn up plans and itemized quote for your deck/porch within 5-7 days. If you accept the bid, then I will obtain the required permit(s) and commence construction on an agreed upon starting date.

25 years of building experience and have a Mn Residential Builders license.
