The owner, Chris, was able to come over within a day or two of my contacting him to look over the job and give me a price for a complete irrigationsystem for my relatively small Minneapolis yard, which included front, back and boulevard side yard. When the crew showed up, the foreman had the freedom to assess the situation anew and made some improvements to the design Chris had suggested (using soaker hoses rather than nozzles in some places where hoses were more appropriate), but they stuck to the original price estimate even when changes drove up equipment costs somewhat. Trenches for pipes were all dug by hand, and all work was done between 7 am and 3m by a crew of 5 or so. They did a neat job of running pipes under sidewalk and brick where necessary, and of replacing sod that had been removed to dig trenches as best they could. I am quite satisfied with the interaction and the work.

They arrived and aligned all sprinkler heads across 7 zones and also replaced 9 heads that were either not working or cracked and leaking at the base. Got the work done within 2hrs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Irrigation Labor rates are $110 per hour. Mobilization fee is $110 per hour.
Residential Start-ups, mid season inspections, Winterizations are $110 for standard systems up to 12 zones. Larger systems and pump systems have additional charge.
Commercial start-up and winterization rates depend on size of system. Start-ups and monthly inspections starts at $20 per zone. Winterizations start at $25 per zones.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified Irrigation Contractor, Auditor, and Technician through the Irrigation Association. Licensed to test backflow devices in MN. Construction Management, MN University Moorhead.
