What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to chat on the phone or meet in person to discuss your needs with you. Many clients have a plan, this is something that they have been saving up for for some time and really want to get a specific look to their images. Other clients like to have me take the reigns so to speak and trust me to create gorgeous images of them and I always guarantee my work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have logged 1000's of hours participating in classes online and have worked with many clients over the years. I am continually striving to create in bigger and better ways every session I have. My clients are continually impressed with their experience and final images because I am always learning and creating better portraits every client. One way I keep on the cutting edge is by reading books on different aspects of the business, such as posing, flash or camera techniques, editing, client experience, business development and marketing. I have an ongoing commitment to learn something new everyday.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with many different client and have experience with many genres. I love to capture variety. I have worked with clients to create Engagement portraits, covered weddings, Captured Maternity and Newborn images. Worked with children of all ages and stages. I love capturing senior photos and Family portraits. I also offer Contemporary Glamour photography.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had a wedding last weekend that turned out beautifully. I am so glad I was able to create so many stunning images of my clients. I was there for a 3 hour package. We photographed formals of the bridal party and important family members, then we did the ceremony, and then a large group photo of each side of the family. Then we spent a few more minutes creating stunning portraits of the new couple and a few detail shots at the beginning of the reception before our time was up. I took around 1000 images while I was the only photographer and I plan to present them with around 500 finished images from their special day. They are in love with the sneak peeks I have shown them so far and I cannot wait to show them the rest.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Read the fine print! A low price is not always everything it is cracked up to be. The cheapest option is not always the best option. 5 years down the road you will not regret having invested too much into beautiful portraits, but when you go the cheaper option you will probably regret not having gotten better quality portraits from a more experienced professional.
