I offer two types of Appointments:
Complimentary (most common) - During this type of appointment we will talk about your vision for the space and how my ideas would enhance that vision. I will be gathering all the information needed to create a custom design plan just for you, with the intention of seeing the project thru from design concept to the final make-over day.
Hourly Consulting - This type of appointment is billed at $150/Hr and is suited for people who want direction (or a second opinion) so that they can confidently go forward with their project on their own. Hourly consults can include choosing paint colors, hanging artwork, determining furniture placement, making flooring and tile selections and a number of other things (however I can help)!

I got in contact with Gina Walleat through Thumbtack while searching for an interior designer to help me with remodeling my basement. Gina's portfolio caught my eye right away and I was very pleased when she contacted me to schedule an appointment to come out to my house. I felt confident in my choice after speaking with Gina on the phone, and was even more impressed with her after meeting her in person. Gina is very knowledgeable, has a great eye for design, has wonderful ideas, and at the same time is very easy to work with.
Her ideas and recommendations are always followed by knowledgeable explanations and she has many ideas on how to change/improve/incorporate new designs. The space I'm working on is over 1000 square feet: a bedroom, living room, and bathroom, and with Gina assisting me, I feel like I'm on the right path. I already feel like the final results will be greater than I expected, and the path leading up to it is fun and non-stressful (as remodels are usually the opposite).
I would contact Gina again if need be, and definitely recommend her smart and easy-going assistance to family and friends. Thanks for all your help Gina!

I brought a new home. I was so happy to know Gina. She helped me with all the blinds and my dining room. She was a pleasure to work with and worked very hard to set up my dining room the way I wanted. I have beautiful new wallpaper, dining room table and all the accessories that the room needs. I especially love the custom floral arrangement that she created. I would recommend Gina to anyone. Thank you Gina for all your hard work!

Gina did an amazing job and came prepared making the experience great. We have worked with multiple designers on commercial projects so we had high expectations to begin with. She exceeded them and was easy to work with.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every client and their project needs are different. Together we will determine the approximate cost of the project during the first appointment.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) I meet with my potential client in their home to determine their decorating preferences and design needs. Together we make a list of the desired design elements and determine a budget. 2) If we go forward with the design plan, I collect a small retainer fee which is then applied towards the products used in the design. 3) About two weeks later I come back and present the design which includes specific products. I bring along samples of all of the fabrics, furniture woods, wallpaper, etc. as needed. Most of the time my clients love the first draft of the design! However, sometimes there is a bit of tweaking that is needed, and that is to be expected. 4) If/When my client approves of the design 100%, I collect a 60% down payment. And then I get to work! 5) Between 3-12 weeks later (depending on the design elements and their lead times) we schedule the final "Make-Over". I LOVE the make-over day!!

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree and an Interior Decorating Certificate.
