When I arrived to begin the project, I found that the roof’s steep incline and slippery surface created a safety concern that wasn’t fully apparent during the initial estimate. To complete the work safely, additional equipment, such as a lift, would have been necessary, which unfortunately increased the cost of the project. I understand the timing was important with your upcoming roof replacement, and I regret that the original plan could not move forward. I would have been happy to discuss alternative options to safely complete the project, but unfortunately we were unable to explore those solutions. As a licensed and insured contractor, I will never compromise on safety for my team or my customers’ property. While I understand your frustration, I stand by the decision to be transparent about the conditions rather than proceed in an unsafe manner. I sincerely wish you the best with your project and appreciate the opportunity to provide an estimate.
