This was absolutely the worst camp experience my kids have ever experienced. Both of my kids attended the summer camp. The staff were rude, unprofessional, negative, and constantly yelling at the kids. Each day my kids would come home telling us the staff were mean and yelling at them. In addition, there is very little actual riding time during the week. On the first day, the kids rode 15 minutes, second day, 20 minutes, third day 20 minutes, fourth day 30 minutes, and the last day, they rode less than 30 minutes because despite having two teachers all week, on the last day only one teacher was there and couldn't handle all 5 kids alone, so they had to take turns riding which resulted in very little riding time. The camps should be advertised as 3/4 work and chores around the farm and barn (yes, one day they had the group picking up sticks in the pasture) and 1/4 actual riding time. It is also important for parents to know that the riding time is indoors. It is a dimly lit, dark riding arena. There is not outdoor riding at all. On the last day, our kids told us they were glad to be leaving the mean teachers but sad to be leaving the horses. In fact, three kids reported to me that the staff were mean to the horses, witnessing them hitting and striking the horses in the stomach and on the neck very frequently, which worried the kids greatly. I would not waste both time and money on this crappy camp. There are many others out there that know how to work with kids and horses in a positive, engaging, and fun manner. This camp is not one of them.
