Introduction: After earning my Bachelors Degree of Interior Design, along with working in the residential and small commercial industry for quite a few years now, I started my business KH Inspired Interiors LLC. Our goal is designing cost effective interiors inspired by your way of life, vision for the space, and unique style while making the process from beginning to end as seamless as possible for you.

Interior Design

Katie was easy and fun to work with and very knowledgeable about interior design. She created beautiful spaces in my home and was always professional when communicating. If you are looking to redo an entire space she is very good at making your vision come alive. Or if you are just looking for new pieces to update a room she is good at that as well; we used her for both. Most importantly (to me) she got back to me right away on anything I needed.

We just finished our kitchen and bathroom remodeling project that Katie designed for us and we could not be happier with her work and the final results! She took our thoughts and provided options by adding her own flair to the design for us to review. She quickly provided us with the final design documents, capturing everything we needed, showing how it would look and even provided links to everything we could buy online to save us significant money versus other companies that were marking up all of the items. Throughout the project, she was an excellent communicator and was a pleasure to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to use her again or recommend her to others.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Since I get paid for my time, I pass my designer discounts along to my clients where possible and have a great team of independent contractors that are also competitively priced in the industry. I typically charge $750 + tax upfront at our first meeting which cover up to 6 hours of work and driving, and then after those 6 hours I transition to $115/hour or $65/hour of driving.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We often times start out by discussing the details of the project over the phone or email along with photos for me to look at and assess the work/time needed for the project. Next, we schedule and in home meeting where we get to know each other, walk through the home, I take measurements and photos, and then we discuss my design contract and payment. After that, I begin working on your project, and when we reach the 6 hours, I send you all of the work I have completed and discuss additional hours if needed. The rest of the project really depends on if you are just ordering items, it's a remodel, or if you are just having me pull together ideas for you to then take and do the shopping. Then typically when the project is done, I come and do a photo shoot of your home!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have earned my Bachelors of Science Degree in Interior Design. There, we were trained on the creative design side along with the technical side of this industry. We were taught all of the latest programs as well as taking classes with architects and other hands on programs in industries that we would be working alongside with future construction/remodel projects.
