FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I dont generally work by the hour, but by the bid on the entire job, usually including all materials. Working by the hour can either help or hurt either customer or or employee i believe. If i am doing a job, and a couple problems come up that i have to tend to, its not always the customers fault and theres no reason why you should have to pay for it.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing drywall when i was only eleven years old. I started by just helping out during the summer. By the time i had 3 months under my belt, i was begging to work every chance i got. Weekends, after school, Christmas vacation. I couldnt get enough. By the time i was 16 years old I was doing journeymen work and starting to get my own jobs. By the time i was 18 I was self employeed and working on starting a small buisness.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most jobs that i do are basements in both newer and older homes. Also remodles of kitchens, bathrooms, re-texturing ceilings, repairs and patches. The occasional brand new home, and also a few whole home rehabs.
