Trim or Molding Installation
I hired Drake Mallard to install Crown Molding in our home. When the crew came, they immediately came to the conclusion that this would not work, and left without completing the job. We decided to cancel the project altogether, and asked for a refund of the $600 deposit we paid. Ken at Drake Mallard did not respond to us, so we had to dispute the charge. Still no response from them! Very disappointed, would recommend staying away, once they have your deposit, they don't respondFeb 15, 2020VerifiedDrake mallard Inc.'s reply
Good day Bruce We have taken the time to read your review. Our conversations do not match the review. We have reached out to you a few times this past week in effort to resolve this by scheduling a appointment to return funds. You did not have availability. On Friday we received a email in how you would like us to proceed with this. On Saturday you wrote this review. We will gladly get this resolved as quickly as possible. Drake mallard inc.
Trim or Molding Installation
Drake Mallard came out promptly to give an estimate on my trim carpentry job.Feb 17, 2020Verified
Did a wonderful job replacing my front and back exterior doors. Worth paying for experience to have it done quickly and correctly! My new doors and trim look great and are secure and weather-proof.Apr 6, 2020Verified
Ken came early for the estimate and the job. He wore a mask inside when we asked him to. He did a great job of installing a fri t door for us.Jul 25, 2020Verified
Working with Ken on my exterior project has been a very bad experience. I strongly recommend finding a different contractor. Ken's communication has been subpar. He kept pushing forward the date he would do the work, but not communicate that with me until I would reach out to him. All I wanted was to know so I could plan accordingly. The quality of workmanship was not good. I had custom windows installed 10 years ago and Ken damaged the frame of one, see picture. He blamed it on the installation of the window. Most of the work Ken did looks worse than before the job was started. I am beyond disappointed and stressed out. Buyer beware!Jun 13, 2020VerifiedDrake mallard Inc.'s reply
I appreciate your thoughts and opinion on your job. This tin wrap was improperly installed on your property from the start. This is why i asked for you to review your project to be in a position to fix it properly. The amount of rot and damage materials complicated your project and needed to be addressed in the proper way. Fixing these issues would result in a better long term finished product.
