FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We keep pricing clear, honest, and value-focused—no games, no hidden fees. Every quote covers materials, thorough prep, labor, cleanup, and protection of your home. What we say upfront is what you pay, unless unexpected issues (like hidden damage) come up—and we always talk it through first. Discounts That Make Quality More Accessible • Same-Day Booking Discount If you like our price, trust the work we do, and want to move forward right away, we offer an extra discount when you book same-day (schedule permitting). It saves us planning and travel time, so we happily pass meaningful savings to you and get your renewal started faster. • Flexible Scheduling Discount If you’re not tied to a specific day or week (especially avoiding peak seasons like March or August), we can often save you more by fitting your job into quieter slots. Quick Quote & Payment Basics Free estimates (in-person or via photos). We use durable, high-quality paints for results that last. Typical terms: 50% deposit to lock in materials/scheduling, balance on completion after you’re satisfied. Cash, check, or Venmo accepted. If our approach feels right and the numbers work, same-day booking can sweeten the deal even further. Reach out—happy to give you a straight quote and see how we can serve your home well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Trinity Painting & Renewal Services, we see every home as a space entrusted by God for family life, and we approach each project with careful stewardship to make it serve you well for years to come. Here’s the clear, step-by-step way we partner with new customers—from first call to final approval. 1. In-Depth Initial Phone Call We begin with a friendly, thorough conversation (15–30 minutes) to understand your vision, timeline, budget range, and any specific needs or concerns. This helps us both confirm we’re the right fit before moving forward. 2. Scheduling the In-Home Appointment We set a convenient time that works for everyone with meaningful input—spouse, older children, or other decision-makers—so all voices are heard and nothing important gets overlooked. 3. Sit-Down Q&A and Project Discussion At your home, we start by sitting down together (coffee’s always welcome; kids can pop in and say hello). We listen carefully, ask clarifying questions, and discuss exactly what you want—colors, finishes, priorities, and any trouble spots—so we’re aligned from the start. 4. Thorough Inspection & Walkaround We walk the entire space side by side. You show us what concerns you; we point out wall/ceiling/trim conditions, prep requirements (cracks, texture, old paint issues), and explain why each step matters for a durable, beautiful result. 5. Measurements & Customized Estimate We take accurate measurements and photos, then build a detailed, itemized estimate that includes: • Full scope of work • Prep specifics • Quality paints and materials suited to Minnesota’s seasons • Realistic timeline • Options (e.g., different sheens, accent features) • Solutions for any concerns raised earlier 6. In-Person Estimate Presentation We present the complete proposal in person, walking through every detail line by line. We answer all your questions, make adjustments as needed, and ensure everything is clear and tailored to your home. 7. Booking & Scheduling When you’re ready to proceed, we secure the project with a deposit and schedule dates well in advance—giving you plenty of time to prepare without any last-minute rush. 8. Project Execution We arrive on time, protect your floors and furniture thoroughly, prep meticulously, paint with attention to detail, clean up daily, and communicate openly if anything unexpected comes up. 9. Final Walkthrough & Your Approval Once complete, we do a full joint walkthrough. You inspect every area; we handle any immediate touch-ups. The job is finished only when you’re completely satisfied—because a home renewed well blesses the family who dwells there. This thoughtful process takes time on purpose—rushing rarely ends well, and we’d rather build something excellent once than correct shortcuts later. If this way of working resonates with you, reach out. I’d be glad to begin with that first conversation and see how we can serve your home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training has been 100% practical and on-the-job—no formal classroom programs, but seven years of intensive, real-world experience that built real skill. • Apprenticeship-Style Training Learned the trade directly under the team at Smith Brothers Decorating in Ham Lake, MN. Spent years working alongside seasoned painters who taught proper techniques for prep, application, color matching, and problem-solving on everything from new construction to older homes with tricky surfaces. • Manufacturer Training Completed multiple Sherwin-Williams courses focused on painting specifications for both interior and exterior work. These covered product selection, substrate preparation, application methods, and how different coatings perform in Minnesota’s freeze-thaw cycles and humidity swings. • State Certification Hold Journeyman Certified Sprayer certification in the state of Minnesota—formal recognition of skill in safe, efficient use of airless and conventional spray equipment for professional-grade finishes. • Leadership & Mentorship As a lead painter, personally trained 10 painters over the years. Helped them develop the technical skills and work ethic needed to either launch their own businesses or step into lead roles themselves. Teaching forced me to master the “why” behind every step, deepening my own expertise. All of this adds up to thousands of hours of deliberate practice—sanding until smooth, priming for longevity, spraying without orange peel, cutting clean lines, and leaving every job cleaner than we found it. No shortcuts, no theory-only knowledge—just proven ability to deliver renewal that honors the home and the family inside it. If you value work done with real experience and care, I’d be glad to put that training to work for you.
