True Tree Solutions was excellent to work with from start to finish. I called Josh around 10:00 AM Thursday, he came by my house to give me a quote by noon. After I explained what I wanted done (trimming two trees in my front yard), he described his approach to achieving my goals in a clear way I could easily understand. I approved the project, he filled out the invoice on the spot and he agreed to get the work done that afternoon. His crew was finishing another job nearby, by 3:00 PM they arrived at my place to start work. The workers were clearly adept at trimming trees -- dozens of unwanted branches were removed from my trees systematically and efficiently in a period of about 1 hour. Then the truck with the wood grinder arrived and they fed the cut branches through the grinder into the truck for disposal. Using rakes and brooms they had the mess around the worksite cleaned up by 4:30 PM. There was no damage to the lawn or leftover waste in my yard. I inspected the job -- the result was nicer than I had imagined. Very clean result. I would definitely use their services again and I recommend them to others for similar jobs.

Contacted us promptly to complete a bid on three mature trees in the backyard. Came the following morning, was thorough and detailed what they would recommend and was open to what we wanted. Had a sufficient crew to finish the job quickly and left the yard relatively clean. The arborist even stuck around a bit to talk about future planting and ideas for trees in the front yard. Would work with them again.

They made the whole experience so easy! They responded immediately to my call, gave us a quote AND did the work the same day! The crew they sent was professional and very respectful. They went above and beyond to preserve other trees near the one that needed to come down, plus took extra measures to protect our house/deck (the tree was right by both). I am very pleased and will hire them again!

Josh and his crew came and cleaned up a maple tree in my back yard, and also cut limbs off my pine tree that were on power lines. Very fast less than a hour to do both. He went above what I was looking for with the maple . THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! Can not forget he is very reasonable with his prices! Going to call him again for my big tree in the front.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am an ISA Certified Arborist my certification #mn4426-A. I am a member of the Minnesota society of arborculture we are required to do 30 continuing education credits every 3 years to recertify and also pay chapter dues.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I have worked in the tree care industry since I was 12! My step father owned a company and I started working on my summers off school! I fell in love with the business and decided to become an arborist shortly after!

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

    I wish they knew the time and effort an Arborist puts into becoming certified, also the legitimate tree companies that carry workmen's compensation, insurance, and are registered with the Minnesota department of agriculture will always need to charge a little more but the quality of work will be much greater!
