Our bathtub in a 100-year old tub would not drain due to a plug blocking the “overflow” drain. They had to cut through a section of the wall to get at the plumbing behind the tub. They replaced the necessary plumbing and now it drains. In my mind, the task seemed impossible, but the plumber said to me “I’ve done this hundreds of times”. Made me feel much better!
