David Anderson

Introduction: I am a professional instructor with deep credentials in teaching & tutoring mathematics, science, and music as well as advanced writing skills and test preparation. I have taught test preparation at Kaplan Test Prep for the GRE, GMAT, and SAT tests, as well as reading, math, and ACT prep at Sylvan Learning Center. I have a Master's degree in mathematics and a PhD in Chemical Engineering, and have taught at all levels between kindergarten and graduate school. Music instruction includes all levels of music including theory, harmony, and composition, as well as beginning to advanced guitar. Despite the advanced degrees and scientist training, I have a reputation of relating with children of all ages and making learning fun as well as rewarding. I believe strongly in hands-on instruction particularly for boys, and have a fully-equipped metalworking lab useful both as an outlet, and for instruction in CNC manufacturing if that is desired.
