Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Compared to most maintenance services, our work is top- notch! We do not believe in cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all designs or approaches to caring for softscapes. Each client's preferences are taken into consideration and we try to accomodate even the strangest of requests. In addition to doing our best work, we also like to make the client feel as though their outdoor spaces are something they can be apart of as well. We encourage you to ask questions and be involved in your gardens. We like to empower clients with every bit of knowledge we can! I'm a plant nerd, what can I say?! I have a front row seat to the beauty of Mother Nature! Plants are a fascinating part of life. They not only look good, but are good for us to look at! I enjoy teaching people about all aspects of nature; how we benefit from plants, incorporating healthy foods into your life, getting kids and adults to play in the dirt... there is so much more than what meets the eye! Another thing I find joy in is creating a space for people to truely appreciate, and show them they can tackle this too! An old boss once said "plants are forgiving by nature;" practice makes perfect and we all can continue to learn and grow.

After moving to a new house where the landscaping was left unfinished and a bit unsightly we went to a local greenhouse only to become more overwhelmed by the ammount of options and what would look best. I contacted Lindsay to draw up a design plan, she was able to move some shrubs and perennials to new areas and fill in the boring void in the front yard. Her choices on perennials flow nicely with existing shrubbery and the plants bloom at different times creating a more colorful display all season. I would recommend lindsays services to anyone who is struggling with a vision for there landscaping needs!

We are hooked. Lindsay is the best. My husband had her fix my gardens for my birthday and they look amazing. We have had her do a whole variety of things in the yard. Love it. She is very knowledgeable and professional. The best!!!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been helping with the family tree farm since I was able to handle a pruners, and have been in the gardens with my mom just as long. I started working for my first client in 2003 and have been growing since! In 2012 I graduated with my B.S. in Horticulture from the University of MN- Twin Cities. My experience spans the nursery, forestry, management, floriculture, greenhouse, design, installation, and maintenance aspects of the green industry.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do some homework! Don't let a company bully you around and tell you what works for you. Have an idea of what you like, even if it's as simple as a flower color preference, or maybe you don't really like grasses. Stop by some garden centers and take pictures of plants you like. If the company you hire cannot tell you how to care for the plants they install, keep shopping around. Why spend the money on a project if it looks like your neighbors'? The design should reflect you and your likes!
