I effectively use analogies, stories, and hands-on learning methods to help get across the learning lessons. I am patient with students, committed to their success, and have worked with diverse groups of students - adult basic education, incarcerated, English Language Learners, parents of college students, high school and junior high school students. The "aha" moment when a student or learner understands the concepts and can demonstrate it. My motto is to show, do, teach. I show/tell how to do it, when the student is confident, s/he does the same, and then the student can help teach another. A perfect three-way method of learning.
