FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are discussed on a project by project basis. Sometimes the customer would like to buy all the materials themselves. Generally, I establish a base price with the customer, and discuss any discounts or additional costs that may be incurred based on the specifics of the project itself or the existing conditions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Establish a basic understanding of the scope of the work and the timeline for completion 2. Meet with customer to view, measure and document the scope of the work to be completed. 3. Based on observation after viewing the project site, make customer aware of any issues that may arise due to existing conditions and let them know up front that there might be additional charges if these issues warrant them. 4. Communicate with customer a start date and an intended date of completion. 5. Complete work. If project lasts more than one day, keep the customer updated on progress and offer to walk through and show them what’s been completed up to this point. 6. Let customer know that, if they find any issues with my work, they can contact me to discuss a resolution. Sometimes there are things that are a direct result of a provider’s work but other times the provider has done everything they could with the conditions that existed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
