What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I quite often refer to Homewyse.com for pricing. It is a fair oricing website to both the consumer and the contractor and is pretty much spot on.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listen.....I like to listen to what they want to achieve...what their goals are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated first in my class at Summit Academy in Carpentry.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up on a farm in South Dakota where I got experience doing a little bit of everything.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with clients from every ethnic background and every walk of life.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I just completed painting the exterior of the Outback Steakhouse in Inver Grove Heights. It's taken just over 3 weeks.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Have the contractor explain everything to you...and then do your own research on whatever it is that you're looking to have done before you make a decision.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Budgetar, restraints, goals and priorities and time frames.
