We were so happy with Marci and Mpossibly Good! She was a breeze to work with in advance of our event, and she did an extraordinary job as a personal chef for our small gathering (8 adults for a 50th Anniversary Celebration). Marci and her help were punctual, professional, excellent in communicating before and during the event, and (most importantly) put together a delicious four-course meal. For our couples wedding shower, Marci whipped up a buffet style dinner of pulled pork and pulled chicken tacos with slaw, queso fresco, and aioli. To be completely honest, I could eat those tacos every day, for every meal; I dream about them. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and when combined, created an outstanding meal. The dÃ©cor was perfect and fun. It was simple but not overpowering, and really complemented the mood of the event. Marci hosted Christmas buffets for a group of 6-8 women three years in a row. Her creativity, unique menus and incredible attention to detail was certainly exceptional. There was excitement in the air, as each course was served and each presentation was as beautiful as it was delicious. Marci worked with us to create a delicious and visually enticing buffet for a reception in honor of one of my colleagues. To keep within budget, she provided the menu and food while we were in charge of beverages, flowers, dinnerware and linens. Her menu had options for vegetarians and omnivores alike. We loved her twist on sliders (marinated, grilled pork tenderloin with mini buns, pesto aioli, curried barbecue sauce, and slaw). The artisan cheese board with condiments was a huge hit. As an added bonus, most of the food was locally sourced. I was amazed at how she was able to provide just the right amount of food for our group of 15. Marcis a master at her craft and highly professional. Shes also fun and easy to be with. Ive hosted this kind of event, without professional help, in the past, and found it very stressful and exhausting. Working with Marci made everything easier and more enjoyable. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I work with you to create an unforgettable meal and experience for you and your guests. All pricing is custom as there are many variables including extent of the menu and ingredients used, serving style, size of event, etc. The same is true for cooking classes/lessons. The techniques, dishes, etc. you wish to learn, play into the amount of time, cost of ingredients, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I work with you at your convenience to develop a customized menu for you and your guests. Initial consultations are complimentary. I find it best to have a conversation over the phone. I also provide a questionnaire to help guide that first conversation. I follow-up with a proposal based on our conversations and go from there!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am an internationally trained/certified chef. Additionally I carry a wine certification, HACCP, and Safe Food Manager credentials. I have decades of experience as a chef, hostess, and decorator as well as 18 years in event and meeting planning.
