They were able to send someone out promptly to look at our unit and the technician arrived on time. When he arrived, he tried a couple things on our AC unit and it immediately started working again. He said he couldn't believe that's all it took and that it seemed to be in working order - even ran some diagnostics on the unit that all came back normal. Then he went outside for a few minutes and came back with a completely different story. Said the wires were frayed and sparking and had to be replaced - I saw NO such thing. I told him we did not any work done on the wires (b/c the unit was working!) but he then disconnected the unit so it had no power and refused to leave it in working order unless we paid to have the wires replaced. Basically, he fixed the unit within 10 minutes of arrival but then changed his story so he'd have to stay and "fix" something that didn't need to be fixed.

Carla, We strive to provide the best service to every customer and am sorry you do not feel you received that from us. I was able to talk to the service technician who was at your house and I will be more than happy to help clarify more of what happened. You let us know that your AC unit was not working. My technician preformed troubleshooting on the unit, starting with the electrical panel and was able to get your unit running. We routinely let the unit run for a while to make sure it stays running. During this time, he came upstairs and let you know that it seemed to be working now. When he went back down to put the electrical panel back together, it started sparking. He noticed that the original installing contractor of the unit used thicker wire gauge than they should have. The electrician also did not secure two terminals which is what was causing the sparking. The reason why my technician couldn’t turn it back on was for liability reasons. He noted that the unit was probably less than a year old and he did tell you that you could call your original installer and that they should warranty their work. You did inform my technician that the original installing company could not get to your home for a month and then gave my technician approval to fix the wiring and bring it up to code. I am happy that we were able to get out to your home in one day and get your unit working the very same day. I apologize if you were unhappy with the level of service we provided.
