Jim was great to work with and easily grasped the look I wanted. He sent me examples to confirm what I wanted before we got started. Hosting is going smoothly too. Thanks!

I am so happy I hired Jim to help redesign and set up my new blog website. I am COMPLETELY helpless when it comes to all things "computer", and Jim took the lead, asked all the right questions, and came up with something that I loved! But the service didn't end there, with the completion of the site. Jim continues to be a source of support, answers all of my MANY inquiries regarding both the site and the actual operation of wordpress (which is not in his job description)...and does so promptly. He also continues to assure I'm not being a major pain in the butt when we both know that I am. He is super professional, does things when he says he will do them, and works consistently to provide excellent customer service. HIGHLY recommended!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try and give one price based on how long it should take. If I run over budget it's my loss. I also can give an hourly rate of $60 an hour depending on the complexity and total size of the project. I also will provide tutorials on how you can market yourself especially in social media and search engine optimization
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I find out the scope of their project and give them an honest and up front quote. I am very thorough in my discussions and let them know my capabilities and experience in alga doing their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Always reading and learning new and evolving trends. There are so many articles online about new and exciting technologies available to use in this field.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been technically adept. Leaning all there is about web design and development has lead me down paths I never knew existed.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Stores, small businesses, large corporate SEO clients, financial planning clients, restaurants.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have some a series of websites for small businesses at a fraction of what agencies cost. I am always available to them for questions and concerns after the projects are completed.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Shop around, but be careful and learn what is included and what isn't. Find out what other services you will need for your business online. You can have a beautiful expensive website and if no one sees or finds it, you've wasted valuable time and money.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There is an immense amount of data to learn about. Taking a business from start to finish and the amount of work that needs to be done on the internet for this business.
