I paid 50% down and he came out once and marked out the project on the ground. Work was to start in a couple of days depending on weather. It's been a week and a half since then, and no evidence of work - Mo One Call has not even been called to come out ( discussed). I have placed multiple calls to him over the last 4 days to check the status of the project. All calls go to voicemail, no response on email. I am afraid I am being ripped off! I am also unhappy with Thumbtack, since it seems to offer no way to contact the contractor and no option to report a problem with an incomplete job - other than a bad rating, which I am forced to do as it is my only viable contact. Doing business with someone who doesn't give you a street address may be a big problem. second post: Eric did come out, just about when I was getting impatient and seeing other similar posts...will see about the quality of the work and post again. I pointed out to him that he needed to return his calls, and he checked and realized that he had not returned a call from me earlier today. So far this is the only problem I have had.
