What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's always nice to have a get-acquainted meeting, and to fully understand the customer's needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Field training and passion for my work. Will always research new or challenging job assignments.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
Job pricing is often reckoned on an hourly basis, plus material costs. Larger jobs may require that an estimate be prepared. An interview will better determine the approach taken.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Handy at home with the "honey-do" list, so went into part-time availability in the community. It also adds some seasoning to the regular "bread & butter"...
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential & commercial customers have used my services. Most jobs consist of simple carpentry, electrical, plumbing or other basic repair skills. Other jobs may require additional time and/or skills to complete. When that occurs, additional resources are sought.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I take pride in all of my projects, but when I build or repair something for a customer, charge them for my work, and have them ask: "Is that the whole charge?" That makes me feel like I'm offering good service at a good price.
I was recently asked if I could install a flagstone paver patio & walkway. That was a new project for me. I did the research, sought out suppliers, bid the job, did the work, pleased the homeowners, and was even applauded by the Belgard factory rep of the materials used!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In Stone County, my Handyman Services are often available on short notice or by convenient email or phone appointment. Please call to discuss your project to best determine your project needs.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is it that the project will entail?
How can I best communicate my needs to the contractor?
And on a more personal note:
Will I be working with a family oriented business owner with a Christian work ethic?
