Introduction: I have always enjoyed make up and at one time modeled for area stores. I was a Mary Kay consultant before I went to beauty to school. My two daughters are in dance, cheer, and pageants so I am familiar with stage make up as well. As for the catering, we had a very profitable restaurant that we were able to retire from and stay home to raise all 4 of our children. This is not a job for me. This is something I do on the side while I am still raising my 2 children that live at home and help to take care of my granddaughter 3 days a week. I enjoy meeting new people and helping them to look their best. I enjoy parties and decorating or them. I believe the food should be just as much a part of the decoration as well as delicious.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always played in make up and then learned that skin care is just as important. Now that I am aging, I know how important extra care needs to be taken to maintain your skin. My husband grew up in the restaurant business and I grew up in the south where food is a very important part of life. I was taught that presentation and flare are essential for any gathering.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who truly cares that your needs are being met and can stay within your budget. Make sure they have been successful in their area and know what they are doing.
