Introduction: Attorney Christopher Scott uses knowledge and experience acquired from handling thousands of criminal cases and conducting nearly 100 trials as a former state prosecutor to represent, educate, and fight for people accused of criminal and traffic offenses in Kansas and Missouri municipal, state, and federal courts. My trial experience ranges from misdemeanor DUI/DWI to serious felonies such as murder, rape, DUI manslaughter, and drug distribution. My office takes great pride in helping people navigate through the court system whether they are accused of a minor traffic offense or serious felony. We help the accused in their most difficult time, and fight for their best interest whether that is a resolution fair to both parties or trial.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Typically a traffic or criminal case is a flat fee. That fee varies depending on the facts of the case, severity level of the charge, potential penalties, etc. Fees do not include a trial.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We start with an initial call or meeting discussing the client's concerns, and expectations of the case. I enter an appearance on the case, request the discovery, and thoroughly evaluate the evidence. We then discuss the best strategies for proceeding with the case, whether to seek a resolution from the prosecutor, or preparing for a trial or other litigation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my law degree from the University of Kansas in May 2008. My experience includes nearly a decade as a state prosecutor, handling thousands of cases and conducting nearly 100 trials. Cases handled included everything from misdemeanor DUI and domestic violence to serious felonies including but not limited to murder, rape, DUI manslaughter, aggravated robbery, and drug felonies. Prior experience also includes handling appellate work and successfully arguing in front of state appellate courts. I am licensed to practice law in Kansas, Missouri, and the Federal District of Kansas and Western District of Missouri.
