November 26, 2012 Review and opinion of “Mike” Yelton Construction, Lathrop, Missouri 64465: It has been over a year since the completion of this project. We were referred to Mr. Yelton by a neighbor who used his company to build their deck. My wife and I had been considering adding a screened in porch and storage room to our Overland Park, KS home in Johnson County. We were not a simple project because of my previous construction experience (customer thinking he knows what he’s doing); my wife’s and my conflicting ideas (argued for over 5 years before ever calling a contractor); and huge (12’) screen free spans. I had also heard that Overland Park was a difficult city for building permits. He came in under the budget and before the completion date. The porch is 432 square feet plus an additional storage below of 432 for a total project of 864 square feet. It has a magnificent vaulted ceiling, 5’ wide stairway, and built stout. There are times during the day you would swear that you can’t see the screens from the inside. It turned out to be a beautiful addition to the home. It looks like it was originally designed that way. By the way, Overland Park, Kansas could not have been an easier city to work with. The Scout Law states, “A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent”. I consider Yelton Construction to be the embodiment of all of these attributes plus, very economical, and fast. Do not hesitate asking him for a bid. Keith Barrett
