Introduction: I am not just a guitar player who is teaching, I enjoy teaching. I have a Master's in religion and teach at various times theological issues. I have also taught weightlifting techniques. I enjoy teaching and strive to become a better teacher. I am also planning to teach theology and philosophy for a career so being a good teacher is very important to me no matter what subject I teach. I also plan to teach guitar at a college or school someday so I am very passionate about being a great teacher. As a teacher I believe in encouragement, patience, friendliness, clear instructions, and answering questions students have even if we run over time. As for formal training in music, I spent a year studying music at Simpson University in Redding CA. I enjoy making practice and goal plans that fit with the skill level of the student and guiding them to the next level.I enjoy seeing my students play things they used to not be able to.

Isaac has been giving my son guitar lessons for almost a year. I've seen a tremendous amount of growth and enthusiasm from my son, and I give this credit to Isaac. Isaac is patient, and extremely talented. He shows real interest in his students, and monitors their progression and adjusts the lesson plan accordingly. I appreciate his flexibility with our schedule when making appointments. I would highly recommend Isaac to anyone who has a real interest in music, and learning the guitar.

Isaac has given guitar lessons to my seven-year-old daughter for a year, and she just loves him. He's very patient and tailors his lessons to meet my daughters needs. He's proficient in many types of music and makes an effort to teach Sophie the sort of songs she'd like to play. He's great with kids and I'm sure he'd be wonderful with adult students as well.

Isaac has been teaching my son guitar for over 6 months, and we have seen great progress with his ability to play. Isaac goes above and beyond to keep the lessons fun, but also challenging. I believe you would be pleased to have Isaac as a guitar teacher.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$20 for a 35-40 min lesson which is followed by Q & A if necessary, plus email correspondence throughout the week. Lessons and practice schedules will be created via Word Doc as well and if needed I can make supplemental video.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do subscribe to articles from and seek out information of guitar players who are more skilled than I in order to raise my thinking higher into an advanced level. I did attend a University in California where I studied music and guitar for a year and this is where I received my theory training.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to gain experience teaching and also wanted to shed light on issues which I had struggled to understand in my own journey.
