FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love getting to know new people. So a big part of my process is really just becoming friends with my clients. Photos are important because they last a lifetime. So it's best to feel at ease with your photographer, and I think the way to do that is just to really get to know each other on a personal level. If my clients feel like they could call me up after their wedding and have a drink and hang out as friends, I feel like I've done my job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I lived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for three years, and while I was there I had a very experienced and award-winning photographer named Thiago Okimoto mentor me in wedding photography. This was on-the-job training, something I could never had gotten in a classroom setting.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out photographing everything around me; my friends, family, architecture, nature, and scenes that intrigued me on the street. It really just grew from there, where I narrowed my commercial work to wedding photography and portraits.
