FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
What I do is provide students with the ability to help themselves and teach themselves how to truly practice and go further after they have a firm understanding and well rounded technique of their instrument. Guitar lessons last 1 hour and I provide handouts, etudes, study practices for that week as well as arrange recitals at least twice a year for all of my students to have the chance to perform in a live situation. I also help with song writing as well. The time spent with making sure the student has a good understanding of that lesson for the week is imperative, I will never just push them out the door.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The best advice I can offer is, if you are looking for a private music instructor, the first thing you should do is once in contact, ask for references from other students. This is vital so you know what type of instructor you are either looking for , or will actually communicate well with. I am more than happy to provide references for my prospective students. Most of my students have been with me for over 1 year to even 7 years. I truly do love what I do and it shows. Always ask how their style of teaching is, if it is just songs or theory or a mix of all including technique , sight reading and ear training.
