I have been a client of Derek's for the last five years. Anything you need to know about his experience and expertise you can learn from his website. It is the type of attorney that he is that impressed me more. When choosing an attorney for anything you need to believe that he knows what he is doing, but more importantly you need to know that he has the character, values, ethics, and ability to represent you in the best possible way. An attorney that truly puts his client first is a rare things. I met with several different people before meeting Derek. He is the only attorney that I like, trust, and respect.I, like most people, met Derek at one of the worst times of my life. His compassion and understanding made the circumstances manageable. He never backed down from the fight, always made sure I understood what was happening, explained what my options were, and let me know that I was not in the fight alone. More importantly, he actually listened to what I had to say. It was clear he was invested and wanted to do the best job anyone could do.
