What do you enjoy about the work you do?

Working the the wonderful people of the Ozark's. I have always enjoyed fixing things even as a child. When the opportunity to get into the swimming pool, hot tub & spa industry, I knew that this would be something I would enjoy. I get satisfaction to see a customer excited that their once broken hot tub or swimming pool is working again.

    Ron came out and replaced a part in my hot tub, but it did not fix the problem ..was told due to not knowing which other parts were good or bad I should go ahead and replace the control box with a new one.This would cost around $2000. This was more than I wanted to spend on a 20+ year old spa..he charged $170 for parts & service call and the problem was not fixed . asked him to take out the part & was told once it was installed I had to keep it.. So I would not recommend Ron ...Was suppose to give a diagnosis of problem.I got " Idon't know what is wrong or how much it will cost" ...I was charged $170 for this???

    A lightning strike damaged the hot tub electrical system. A main component that supplies electrical power to the tub control box was in need of replacement in order to even begin diagnosis of all the electrical components. This part was replaced and upon further diagnosis, several potential electrical components may need to be replaced. Since the parts are in series together each damaged component would have to be replaced before moving forward to the next one to verify if it was damaged by the lightning.. I did explain this procedure to the homeowner as option 1 at an estimated cost of $500-$700 but it was possible because of the lightning strike to the electrical system that I could find more components further down the line in the control box that may also be damaged and this repair could get costly and that an option 2 of replacing the main control box at an estimated cost of $1500-$2000 may be the best option since it would eliminate the unforeseen issues with the existing control box. Our minimum diagnosis fee and the cost of the main electrical component were charged. I understand the customer’s concern and how frustrating it can be when something like lightning can cause so much damage. Customer service is and always will be Sierra Pool & Spa Repair's #1 goal and we do our best to thoroughly diagnose even when we are faced with difficult situations like lightning damage to sensitive components.

    Endless Pool needed cleaning, water replacement and filtering/circulating components serviced. Ron came, scrubbed calcium deposits off liner, drained pool and cleaned motor/filter. Saved us $ by letting us fill the pool ourselves. Ron Rhodes is professional, personable, knowledgeable and dependable. He was able to come do the work within two days of our contacting him. He set straight to work - using ecological products (something that is very important to us) and wasted no time. He gave us good information for at-home maintenance of the pool and now the pool is clear and clean. Ron has been servicing this pool since we came to Springfield over 3 years ago and we have never had any problems with either the pool or with Ron. I highly recommend him.

    My older hot tub was leaking, and the controls weren't operating correctly. Ron came out exactly when he said he would, and diagnosed the problem to be a faulty pump, rather than the controller or other components. The tub runs perfectly. Ron is polite, friendly, and clearly an expert in his trade. I highly recommend Sierra Pool & Spa Repair.

    I have a hot tub that was not heating. I live In Harrison Arkansas and I had a heck of a time finding a company around here that would repair a hot tub. I searched on the internet in the Branson area and found Sierra Pool & Spa. I hesitated calling someone from out of the area. But after visiting their web site and reading their amazing reviews I decided to call and inquire. I spoke with Ron who I believe to be the owner of Sierra and he was very nice. He told me that they service all over the Ozarks and the trucks have parts to fix most jobs on the first call. I decided to hire them and I am so glad I did. Ron came out himself and found the problem with my hot tub. I couldn't believe he had all the parts on the truck to fix the problem. I thought he was fair with me on the price. I would not hesitate to hire Sierra Pool & Spa again. I was very happy with the service and his professionalism that in about a month I will have them open my pool too. I know this review is long but it is well deserved. Thank you Ron

    I have a 10 year old hot tub that the heater stopped working. New to the area I didn't know who to call. I asked a neighbor if he knew of anyone since he had a hot tub. He said he had used Sierra Pool & Spa Repair. I looked them up on the web and found there web site. I decided to check them out first and based on all the positive reviews I found, I decided to go ahead and give them a call. I spoke with Ron who was very pleasant to speak to. After telling him my problem and learning that I was actually speaking with the owner of the company, I decided to go ahead and make an appointment for him to fix my heater. He was very prompt and extremely professional and just pleasant to work with. Ron found the problem within 10 minutes and he had the parts I needed on his truck. I was very impressed with his knowledge and he gave me some very good advice on maintaining my hot tub. Part of my issue I was having with my heater was my lack of water maintenance and it destroyed the heater but Ron gave me good advise on how to maintain the water so I don't destroy the heater again. I would highly recommed Sierra Pool & Spa and would not hesitate to refer them.

    I want to offer the highest praise to Ron at Sierra Pool and Spa Repair. When I called, he answered promptly, listened patiently as I fumbled around trying to describe the issue I thought I was having with my Jacuzzi hot tub and then offered to come right away to fix the real problem. When Ron arrived, he immediately took ownership of my problem and offered solutions/options to fix the heating unit. I was impressed with his professionalism, with his speed and with his knowledge. My wife had numerous questions which many other service people would have simply ignored or answered briefly. When Ron was finally able to leave, my wife and I both felt as though Ron was the main source for any future remedies we may require with regard to our swimming pool and bathroom Jacuzzi tub. Our thanks to Ron, and we sincerely hope others will take the opportunity to allow him to fix any spa or pool problems they are having.

    I bought a house with an old mid-80's hot tub in it and with us knowing little about hot tubs - after having gone through two people and still couldnt get it up and running, Ron came out and quickly identified the problem (circulation pump was kaput) and replaced the pump. That did the trick, and he also gave us a lot of other useful information about keeping the water clean and other general info. And he even charged us less than his original estimate, and was helpful in a followup phone call even though it was on a Saturday. We finally enjoyed our first evening in the hot tub this weekend and it was great! Thanks Ron!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly attending trade seminars & shows. Technology is constantly changing and the one way we keep up is attending educational seminars and trade shows.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was in the industry, so I started out working under him. I have always enjoyed taking things apart and fixing it. As a child I was always fixing something and putting it back together.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Hot tub and spa heater issues and the pumps not operating. We are starting to see more interest in swimming pool salt & energy saving systems.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I performed a complete swimming pool equipment upgrade and made the pool handicap accessible for a client who was paralyzed. He was able to use the swimming pool for the first time without any help getting in or out.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I always advise to look for references & testimonials. As a consumer myself, I too find it a challenge at times, to find honest, reputable & professional companines. I have found that you get more personalized service from a smaller family owned business.
