FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer to tailor the bid to the project. I can better estimate materials and time if I see what I'm dealing with. That way the customer will know exactly what they are getting and what they will pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Since most customers are very cost conscience, the first thing I like to do is to actually look at the project. I can give a more accurate bid and leave out any surprises for myself or the customer. After an agreement is reached, we set up a time frame and get it done. Depending on the amount of materials involved I sometimes require a 25% down payment. Final payment is never required before completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I ran my own painting company during breaks between college semesters. I have remodeled several houses for a gentleman that flips houses, as well as remodeling one of my own. I have built shops, sheds, porches and decks. I've put down more laminate flooring and relaced more rotted drywall than I like to admit. I have worked with large apartment complex managers to get as many as 100 apartments ready for college student arrivals.
