Scott is very professional, meticulous, and hard working. He helped us with unforeseen problems as they came up and did a wonderful job tiling our shower, floor, and half wall. It looks great and we are very pleased. Scott took great measures to ensure there was never any mess and he took all the demolition scrap away for us.

I hired Scott Richey to tear out old tile in two bathrooms (floors and bath/shower surround) and replace with new tile. He did a beautiful job making my vision come to life. My condo is older so things like walls aren’t exactly level anymore as things have settled over the years, however, he did an incredible job correcting all of those issues so that I could use the tile I really wanted. He never asked for a deposit up front and only invoiced me once he completed an area and I was satisfied with the job he’d done. I really appreciated his professionalism and reliability. He always showed up when he said he would and always communicated promptly when I had a question. Good price too! I highly recommend Scott for any tile work.

Scott was very meticulous about his. He settled for nothing less than quality work. His price was ver reasonable. He wouldn’t accept payment until the work was completed. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a tile installer. He did a kitchen backsplash for us but said his specialty is shower and bathrooms

I'm so happy I found Scott for my tiling needs. He is extremely competent, took his time to make sure everything was lined up, and ultimately, the tile backsplashes came out perfect. He was also helpful in making sure the right supplies were purchased. His pricing was very competitive for such high quality work which was the icing on the cake. You won't find better than Scott!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the square foot. My pricing is itemized when applicable, so that the home owner can choose to do the items they may want to try to save money. I never ask for a deposit or money upfront. I believe my quality of work guarantees a successful install. I also think you should see what your paying for. Also something might happen between the time you give a deposit and an install which could require a change where a homeowner needs to allocate monies. At the moment I accept Cash/Check only. Shortly I will be accepting CC payments in the future.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I can give an estimate by phone, but would rather see the project & provide a free on site educated estimate, then return an emailed detailed estimate with itemized list of materials the customer can then use to go where ever and purchase needed items for the project. The estimate will have all the labor pricing attached as well. If the home owner wishes to use my services we can set up a time for install. The on-site measure also allows both parties to meet. I can get a better idea of your individual needs during this meet.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 25 plus years experience. I was a card carrying member of the BAC Tile setters Union. I owned a much larger company for 13 years which did more commercial application & carried the Lowes contract with all the stores in the region. I now enjoy the work I am doing now. Showers & splashes are my favorite.
