- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Mobile Grooming is significantly higher than a regular groom salon. You can expect anywhere between 25 to 35%, depending on the size of dog, the type of dog and the amount of time it will take me to complete the job. When I talk to the pet parent are usually will give you a ballpark figure of what I she'll get the animal will cost if I muncher I will let you know with that time arm with a range of price where you would land somewhere in the middle it's Tom time is very difficult to be absolutely sure to pinpoint the price. I do give multipack discounts on animals if you have two or more somewhere animals that you have a groomed the more I give you a half is the discount this is also discussed at the time when I'm talking with the client about the price. I do occasionally when I have fixed income people give a larger discount because they can't get out to a groom salon so sometimes I will give them a larger discount in order to get the animal maintain but this is only done on a case-by-case basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I had school kind a dog they have and what it is they're looking to have done with that the animal. Are usually ask about age or any physical problems are health problems that the animal may have. It is important to me to make absolutely sure that the customer gets their haircut with the outcome that they are looking for unless it's totally impossible to produce. When I arrive at a clients house I will usually introduce myself to the owner and dog, ask the dogs name and interact with that dog to see how they're going to react to me. Usually I don't have any problems getting a dog to be friendly to me but sometimes if they're older they take a little bit longer to warm up to you. I explained the process that I go through complete the dog and the average amount of time that a normal dog will take. Owners are always welcome to come out to see the van and sometimes owners to stay with their animals and I will allow that as long as the animal listens to what I'm trying to tell it and doesn't try to seek refuge with its parent.

2 months of 40 hours a week at Petropolis School of Grooming. Been mobile since 2004. Self employed since 2007.
