- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If Pricing is your concern you're barking up the wrong tree. Buy a pinch collar and a leash. The PackSmith is for people who are willing to invest time energy and mental focus as well as money. Good news is even though the cost is not insignificant $600-$1200 The PackSmith provides most or all of the equipment you need to fix most any problem built into the package. If a Leader (that's you too) is not supported properly then the entire group suffers exponentially! But a leaders Job is to sacrifice of themselves to ensure that the ones they are leading have everything they need to reach their maximum potential. That takes a toll. I have the privilege and Honor of leading many families to peace as well as my own (new husband and father) as well as leading youth through struggles and hopefully to know Jesus as Lord. Your Patronage helps me achieve these goals and more. p.s. don't worry we don't have to discuss religion unless you want. It can Help the process though!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listen- in the free evaluation I will get the greatest understanding I can about the situation as a whole. It doesnt take long for an experienced trainer/behaviorist to tell where the root problems are that are causing bad behavior, but you have to take the time! I come to your house and hear your side and the dogs side of the story in their natural environment. Teach- We talk a great deal (more than some prefer) about the Philosophy behind leading your dog. An exercise can be great or horrible depending on if it fits with the Philosophy. Show- I show the owners how quickly and easily a dogs attitude and behavior can change. I walk through it with them so they can see it can be done even with their dog. Also some people need to see things done because they are to anxious to try on their own. Observe- Many trainers will train a dog and perform a routine with it and give the dog back as if its trained. 2 months later they call me because the training has fallen apart. I train the owners, not to handle, but to train their dogs! that way when I am gone and they come across a problem THEY know how to react to improve the training instead of it collapsing. I help the owners to know what they are doing/feeling/fearing and what it is communicating to the dog. Support- You can always call and I'll talk you through anything I can. Once we start training you are part of My Pack and I will be the same leader to my Pack as i teach them to be to theirs. To Be Fair I will do this for anyone. I'm in this business for the Dogs sake. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended The Tom Rose School of dog training for their Professionals and Masters program. 60 hours a week for 6 months learning every aspect of dog training. I continue supplemental study in many different areas to give the most comprehensive philosophy for achieving ballance in your life as a whole. We just learn through the lens of Dog training.
