My mother has lived in Washington for many years. Recently my mother's neighbor had a damaged tree removed from their yard by Busy Beaver Tree Service. The first day a chunk of the tree rolled down the hill and hit the side of her house leaving a decent size hole in her siding. Busy Beaver told my mother that they were insured and the problem would be resolved. This was on July 30, 2012. The following Thursday another chunk of the tree hit my mother's house. This time she went out and the employee was dismissive toward her for being upset. Another hole in the siding. Today is September 9th and Busy Beaver Tree Service has repeatedly lied to my mother regarding the repairs. No one has come by to measure or find out what materials are needed to fix her damaged home. My mother was told the siding was ordered from Lowe's but the wrong siding came in and it had to be re-ordered I called Lowe's myself and no siding had been ordered. The Better Business Bureau has been contacted. So here we are 6 1/2 weeks later with holes still in her siding. Is this a business owner acting in good faith or someone taking advantage of a senior citizen? Actions speak louder than words.

My mother's home is still not repaired. She has given up on getting help from this company, who damaged her house when they lost control of a tree limb on an adjacent property. Yes, her home was damaged by the incompetence of Busy Beaver, and they were not even working on her property.

October of 2012 I requested a quote to remove two trees in my yard, cut the wood into 18" lenghts, haul off the limbs and grind the stumps (they were low bid). They did a good job as far as dropping the limbs doing very little damage to near by trees. Some of the firewood was longer than 18" causing me to cut it so I could use it in my wood stove. I still have the stumps in my yard which I had paid for at the time. I have tried several times to get them to return to finish the job but after several phone calls and many delays and excuse I still have the stumps. Aug. 5, 2013

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check that the business has insurance. Just because a business says they have insurance doesn't mean they really do. A insurance sheet should be given with every estimate.
