Introduction: As I teach music major students at college and also own a private piano studio, my schedule is almost fully booked and I have a few spots available now. Please contact me, if you are seriously want to learn the piano with me. Since my online studio is growing rapidly, I’m teaching students who live in New York, California, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and St.Louis. We had an amazing online concert last December, and I’m going to have the next virtual recital in May. I know everything is new and unusual with this pandemic, but I'm very glad that we can keep learning and enjoying the music online. The cost of the lesson is $50/30 minutes, $70/45 minutes, and $90/an hour.
I received my training from Cleveland Institute of Music (MM, scholarship student) and the Ohio State University (DMA, Graduate Teaching Assistant). I wrote the document related to compositional style and method of practice for Ligeti’s piano etudes; Désordre and L’escalier du diable and also performed it at the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall.
As an Adjunct Piano Faculty at St. Charles Community College, I teach music major students. I have taught at several colleges including Ohio State University (GTA), Hobart William Smith University (Staff Accompanist), Jefferson Academy of Music at OSU, Indiana University Summer Piano Academy (Assistant Piano Coach), Baek-Seok Arts University (Adjunct Piano Instructor), and Sook-Myung Women’s University (Adjunct Piano Instructor) in South Korea.
I made my debut at Carnegie Weill Hall and Kennedy Center as a winner of the International Piano Competition. I have performed in Philadelphia, New York, Ohio, Czech, Italy, and South Korea. I won numerous International Piano Competitions including International Young Artist Piano Competition, American Protégé, Asia International Music, Korean Piano Association Competition, and Korean World Arts Association Competition.
I have taught private students of all ages over 15 years and have prepared students for pre-college programs, college auditions (music major), international competitions, studio recitals, and all types of performances. I encourage students to participate in various performances, so they can get some results and confidence through the experience.
I am passionate about teaching and sincerely care for each of my students. I motivate students with a positive attitude, teach the best techniques, and develop an individual expressive and musical voice. I look forward to helping you enjoy music and achieve your goals. I look forward to hearing from you.
