Introduction

I have taught writing and editing to high school and college level students for 8 years and have been the primary editor for a number of academic works. I believe strongly that the way a person presents themselves in writing provides an initial impression to their readers about who the person is and their positions and beliefs on the material they are presenting. It is vital that the author is given the best opportunity to choose the write words and use the write punctuation to most clearly convey what it is he/she is trying to communicate. That is my goal as writer or editor.
