Communication before the job started was great. Once the job began it just went downfall. A couple of times I was told they would show up to keep working and no show. The fence project took almost 3 weeks give or take a few days of rain that I understand no work could be performed. Finally the fence was finished Saturday of Easter weekend. We had to leave for church so didn't actually had the chance to do a walk-through and by the time we made it home it was dark. Sunday morning when we woke up we noticed that the bottom of the double gate was very uneven because the boards were cut very crooked and there were big gaps between the hinges and the space between both gates was too big. Then a few minutes later the left side of the gate fell off the hinge. We also noticed that the 4x4's used to hold up a trellis over our gate were cracked significantly. My husband contacted John, the owner, and asked for the 4x4's to be replaced and the gate fixed. He also sent pictures to John of the damage. Needless to say, after several attempts we never got a response and finally my husband just did what he could to fix the gate and make it look a bit better on his own. For what is worth, they did a great job on the first part of the fence but as they kept advancing and all the time it took to finish the fence my best guess is that they got careless and I also got the feeling that our project was not a priority to him and just kind of pushed us to the back burner. At the end I believe they were just trying to finish the job and got very sloppy which resulted in all the errors at the end.
