Introduction: I am teaching art to children and adults. With children, I like to spark their imagination and help them draw from their imagination. With older children, I inject structure occasionally to help them get their ideas across. With adults, I try to get them to trust what they see, and that they can develop a drawing or painting from life or their imagination.
I teach techniques and theory in a very simple way. I teach life drawing, portrait drawing and painting, still life, and landscapes. My favorite mediums are pencil, oils and soft pastels. I have been drawing and painting all my life, and I think I have a very simple approach to drawing and painting. In my drawings I am very detailed. In my paintings I can be very detailed or very loose with lots of moods.
