Introduction: I'm a professional photographer based in central Mississippi and I serve professionals, couples & families all over the South and beyond. My style would be described as colorful, bright, airy, romantic and timeless. For wedding clients, I love capturing the authentic moments of the day that make your love story unique. I have a degree in photography and started my photography journey in a darkroom when I was 16. For the past 7 years, I have been a full-time professional photographer in the Jackson area.
I have a bachelor's degree in photojournalism (news photography) and worked as a photojournalist in the past. I also graduated from an arts high school and went through intense study. This puts me in the unique position to capture authentic and emotional images that others may miss, with an artist's view on composition and color.

April Garon photographed our March 2021 wedding at Gaddis Farms Lake house in Bolton, MS, and I highly recommend her! After inquiring about her services, the quality and style of her images stood out in a crowd of wedding photographers. We were looking for a candid-style wedding photographer, who could capture our silliness, with a relaxed style thats both modern and timeless. The connection and ease we found with April shows in the final product. We are generally very awkward and have a tendency to pull silly faces or poses the minute a camera is in our vicinity. April knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable, like wewere just hanging out with a friend. On a practical note, April was consistently communicative, agile, and (more than) punctual throughout the entire process. She would often check in with us and offered a wealth of planning resources. I would like to add that she went beyond the call of duty to help on the wedding day with things that were photography-unrelated.Aprils eye for detail is astounding. She has this magic about her that illuminates the unique essence of a person. Her non-traditional style and relaxed, yet helpful attitude made her the perfect person to capture our wedding. Our family members assumed April must be a close friend, because of how well she was able to jive with our group.A framed print that hangs in our breakfast nook receives frequent compliments. We also used her art in our Christmas cards this year.If you value photography and want someone who is a master of their craft and a true professional all-round, look no further. I had an instant connection with April Garon. She brought a calmness to our photo session that put me at ease. She goes out of her way to make your time with her a positive experience.
