GROWING UP...
I was born and raised in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. I attended public school, private school and home school; graduating as a Home School Cougar of the Gallatin Valley. I participated in basketball, skiing, snowboarding, hiking and horse-back riding, pretty much anything outdoors. My first job was working for the family business of running campgrounds - 37 of them. That job consisted of cutting trees, building fence, running tractors, installing fireplaces and tables and any other maintenance the campgrounds needed.
THE START OF A CAREER...
The campground industry gave me my first design job too. I grew tired of Forest Service cream and green signs, so I came up with more colorful and playful signs to display information and regulations around the campgrounds. I look back on some of those designs today and wonder how I was ever allowed to post some of those signs, but it definitely started a passion that I am fulfilling today.
