About

I began tutoring 10 years ago as a means to send myself off to college, and over the course of the years made it into my career. I like to focus on active engagement in my tutoring sessions; meaning I give each student the opportunity to show me what they know and then lead them through a problem rather than a leading a boring demonstration. I customize my tutoring practice given the needs of the child. I’ve encountered children with ADHD, learning disabilities as well as children just trying to stay on top of their math studies. I’ve completed math courses up to Calculus 3 and mainly teach high school math as it is in high need. I look forward to helping you and your student navigate through obstacles and leave feeling ready to tackle more.

Observe your study strategies, note-taking, and learning preference to tailor my teaching style. I like to make sure each student is engaged within the session by asking all of what you know for me to build on topics or help you gain a foundation from the bottom. I work well with people whom want to learn.
