- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I send a quote to a prospective client, all labor charges are included and will not change unless services are added or deleted. Parts vary considerably between mowers/tractors, without specific information about the tractor and engine I can only give a "guestimate". Each tractor/mower has its' own model number and serial number and the engine also has its' own model and serial number. Once I have that information (pictures from a phone work great), I can find the parts and costs for each component. Usually, within a day of receiving this information, I can determine which parts to buy and once purchased I schedule a time to complete the service. By having the clients send pictures of the mower and engine labels, I can complete all work with one visit. This saves time and money for everyone.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved the outdoors and working with my hands. Building and fixing all types of machines and gadgets has always interested me. A flexible schedule is also very important to me.
