My service can be provided at a fraction of the cost of other companies by being a small company with minimal overhead. I am the company, no other employees to pay, no real estate/rent (buildings) and minimal stock on hand. I can educate people on how to take care of their equipment. A tractor or mower is a sizable investment and one that should last for years and years. Maybe they are interested in learning to do it on their own or just to be a better owner.

Went to Ty's after taking it to another repairer. Other guy had it for a week and returned it saying it was fixed. It wasn't and I got my money back. Called Ty and he picked up the mower and return it within a week. I cut my lawn for the first time and it runs well. Price is very reasonable

Since our last experience was great on Thumbtack, we decided to try it again, this time we needed our Zero Turn riding lawn mower fixed. We asked for a mobile repair person, and within 24 hours, Ty responded. He came out to the house two times. First time was to look at the lawn mower itself and look at everything. He replaced almost everything for a wonderful price. The items that replaced were, front tires, blades, oil and oil filter, air filter, and spark plugs. While he was fixing it, he noticed a thin piece of metal that was semi-bent and somewhat rusted. He offered to take it home himself and fix it up and then install it complementary. Overall, we will use Ty again next early spring for our yearly tune up.

I would give Ty 6 stars if I could. Was fantastic in response and work quality. Same job with another shop took 3 weeks and lasted 2 days before I had the same problem. ty picked up lawn mower and returned it in 2 days explained the problem told me how to avoid any further problems. Also did extra things like lubed the mower. Wow. My choice from now on

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I send a quote to a prospective client, all labor charges are included and will not change unless services are added or deleted. Parts vary considerably between mowers/tractors, without specific information about the tractor and engine I can only give a "guestimate". Each tractor/mower has its' own model number and serial number and the engine also has its' own model and serial number. Once I have that information (pictures from a phone work great), I can find the parts and costs for each component. Usually, within a day of receiving this information, I can determine which parts to buy and once purchased I schedule a time to complete the service. By having the clients send pictures of the mower and engine labels, I can complete all work with one visit. This saves time and money for everyone.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved the outdoors and working with my hands. Building and fixing all types of machines and gadgets has always interested me. A flexible schedule is also very important to me.
