FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While my pricing is not complicated it is different for each service that I offer so a one-on-one conversation about what I offer and the associated fee is recommended.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My cooking experience comes from starting to cook as a teenager when I became more interested in how I was eating. I learned a lot from my father who was a great cook and who owned a campground business with a diner and catering service. I also worked at Whole Foods and was mentored by a culinary trained chef who had traveled the world cooking and honing his skills. My experience for coaching comes from my passion about nutrition and health for over 30 years. I was trained for coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I am always researching and reading the latest health trends and I attend numerous online wellness summits with prominent physicians and leaders in the health industry to continue learning.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working in corporate America and felt like I was not doing anything meaningful. I took a risk and left and started my own business as a personal chef providing in-home cooking services because I love to cook and wanted to help people eat better. That eventually led me to discover my true passion of wanting to educate and coach others about things like the importance of making good food choices, moving every day, managing stress, etc. So I went back to school to receive training and certification as a health/wellness coach.
