FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a CPA, I am required by the state board to obtain 40 hours of continuing education every year. CPA's have to get more CPE every year than any other profession. Included in those 40 hours must be 2 hours of ethics training.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my college career as a physical ed major. After one semester, I decided to switch to mathmatics. Eventually, I started taking accounting classes and I really enjoyed them. Things just made sense to me. So, I ended up with a bachelor of science degree with a double major in math and accounting. I started out as an accounts payable clerk for a large solid waste company and the rest is history.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I perform multiple functions for my clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and payroll. I also prepare payroll tax reports, sales & use tax reports, property tax listings, 1099 forms, and financial statements. I would have your books ready to give to a tax accountant with very little adjustments needed.
