- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat, all inclusive monthly tuition. Tuition includes travel fees, all music and theory books, recital fees, music game library, special projects, and home subscription to the excellent practice app Piano Maestro ($10/month value). Current rates are $280/month for 1 hour lessons or siblings back to back and $150/month for 30 minute lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a sense of the student's level and goals before the first lesson so that we can dive right in where they're at and start something new!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College Master of Music in Music Education from Colorado State University Kodaly Certification from Colorado State University I have taught in a variety of settings over the past 15 years. In addition to private lessons I have taught in public and private schools, camps, after school programs and learning centers.
