    David helped my office move from Go Daddy IMAP mail to Google IMAP mail and set up our professional level Google presence including switching the domain names and transferring gigabytes worth of data. Well, maybe not literally, but it seemed like that at the time. David was prompt, affable, competent, reported often without interrupting my business flow, and I intend to use him any time I have complex computer issues to deal with. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is a base rate of $30 an hour for new clients, with specific projects and flat fees based on estimates close to that figure.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once cost and customer needs have been identified in a basic way, we reach out to the customer. A phone call, Skype call or email is needed to go over in detail the specific details of a job. Once that is done, work begins with regular updates on progress until everything is complete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree, and over 25 years of experience in office support, marketing, and customer service in a variety of industries. This allows me to adapt to any client and ensure that whatever is needed is done.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Artists, educators, construction companies, law firms, web sales companies, real estate professionals, and content providers. In the past I have worked in market research, insurance, and direct sales, as well as operations management both in call centers and offices large and small.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I assisted a client migrate his email service from GoDaddy to Google Apps, ensuring a rapid transfer of data, migration of all historical emails, and seamlessly set up his existing email client with the new system. No interruption of business occurred, and everything was completed in less than a week. For a single email account, the same thing can be accomplished in a few days.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Get a solid idea of the work that will be provided, and the rate that will be charged. A signed agreement is the best protection for both customers and work providers.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What work will be done, including specifics? What rate will be charged? How long will it take to complete the task, both in hours worked and days until completion? What specific experience do you have with this work?
