5/5 stars is just not enough for EnglishLesson Cafe, Mark & co. really prioritize your needs and meets you at your level. Our 5-year-old son had struggled with pronunciation and annunciation to the point he was shy and rarely tried to engage with guests. It was so bad, a family friend even recommended he get tested for a speech impediment. We are so glad we came to Mark first.
Within a month of weekday lessons with the EnglishLesson Cafe he has progressed to the point where his convivial nature has really shined through. He goes up to and introduces himself to everyone, and he now runs about with his peers. At our social gathering last weekend, he even went up and sang a song for everyone. I was speechless, a month ago this was the boy who wouldn't come out of his room to entertain guests. Besides the rapid improvement our son has had, EnglishLesson Cafe is excellent at keeping the learner engaged. For anyone who has tried to maintain a 5 year old's attention knows, getting them engaged and happy about learning is a feat to be proud of yet, Mark is able to keep him engaged & learning for the entire lesson. I could not be more pleased from the stellar improvement, reasonable prices, to working around our schedule, thank you for everything you all do!

He is really patient with my son. My son’s English is very beginner but he is trying very hard to make him confident and make it more fun to learn. My 12 year-old son loves his lessons so much.
His responses are fast and very nice. I totally recommend him as a ESL tutor.

EnglishLesson Cafe is a great tutor and I would recommend for anyone. He is very patient — which anyone that takes a language needs – and it’s very comfortable to practice conversations, which is also a huge plus. I recommend him highly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide a free class when a customer hires me. This allows me to observe the student's level of English proficiency. After this first class, the following lessons will be customized to the student.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer hires me for an ESL tutor, I provide a free class to observe the student's level of English proficiency. I will customize classes based on this initial class. This also gives me the opportunity to get to know the student and their goals and target the lessons to their preferences.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 170 hour Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from International TEFL Academy.
I also have a 120 hour TESOL certificate from International Open Academy.
I teach English as a second language to children online in the Asian market.
